Christmas holiday creations

Theme Thursday wants to see our Christmas creations. Here's a card which has a background of alcohol inks and some tiny jingly bells attached. The reindeer stamp is by Woodware. You may have seen very similar cards in Craft Stamper. I had to try it!

G is for Greetings

The First Letter
Rein's challenge at Daring Cardmakers is to create a card that contains elements starting with the initial of our name. My card has "Greetings" which starts with G. The painted background was made with gesso - another "G". Stamps by Artifacts. Letters by Making Memories.

Lots To Do: Free Theme

There's a free theme over at Lots to Do, so I'm sharing a card I made recently for a friend's wedding.
The glitter letters are by American Crafts. The flowers - Hero Arts Peakin Posies stamps - were painted with Twinkling H2Os and sprinkled with glitter. Background paper by Stampington.

A spot of decorating

A few months ago I fell in love with a new range of wallpapers by Harlequin and decided we would redecorate the hall, landing and stairs, the spare room and our bedroom.

Here are two layouts on the bedrooms. The spare room LO includes some of the wallpaper.

Embossing

Lots To Do is looking for embossing on cards: heat embossing, embossing using a Cuttlebug or traditional embossing with a light box.

I tried a light box a while ago but somehow couldn't make it work. I then had one of those Fiskars templates where you use a tool to score round the shapes, but it's very hard on the hands!

Then I discovered the joys of the Cuttlebug. For the snowman card I used two folders and also heat embossed using the latest free stamp from Craft Stamper.

The reindeer card uses a stamp by Woodware and I glued on bits of silver "leaf" and made the reindeer sparkle with Stickles. In the background I embossed with the Cuttlebug Christmas ornaments folder.

Fireworks

I was expecting one of the challenge blogs to demand a card themed around fireworks, but none did this year. Undeterred, here are two fireworks cards I made using Banana Frog fireworks stamps, embossed with tinselly powders, shrink plastic, brads from K&Co and a celebrate stamp from Stampin' Up.
